PROA7BAT2 - ProSeries 24-Hour Backup Battery for PROA7 and PROA7PLUS
The Honeywell Home PROA7BAT2 is a 24-hour backup battery for a PROA7 or PROA7PLUS Alarm Panel. This backup battery is ready to keep the panel running when AC power becomes lost or disconnected. It must be replaced at the end of its useful life.
As is the case with any battery, the Honeywell Home PROA7BAT2 will slowly lose its ability to store a charge over time. Once the battery is unable to hold a sufficient charge, the system will display a low battery warning, and you will need to replace the existing battery with a new one. Most users can expect to go at least five (5) years without a battery replacement.
Please note that the PROA7BAT2 is the default battery included with the ProSeries Panels as of March 2021. It replaces the PROA7BAT3, which was the previous default battery. The difference between the two is that the PROA7BAT2 has a lower power rating of 3.6VDC, 5200mAh, compared with the PROA7BAT3 power rating of 3.6VDC, 7800mAh. Both the PROA7BAT2 and the PROA7BAT3 are advertised to provide at least 24 hours of backup power. You can visually identify each one, as the PROA7BAT2 is the smaller 2-cell pack that plugs into the smaller battery port, while the PROA7BAT3 is the larger 3-cell pack that plugs into the larger battery port.
